Engelsk beskrivelse

"The power of the food industry creates powerlesness among grassroots people, both in the global north and south. We put this in relation to agroecological power, which creates peoples empowerment and proximity between producer and consumer, employment, prevention of food waste and healthy food for all people. We put this in relation to forced migration, world poverty and Farmers' Rights internationally. We will highlight the connection between migration, poverty and Peasants Rights internationally. By 2015 there were 244 million migrants, an increase from 2000 by 40%. 1/3 of all migrants are in their most active age. It is assumed that 40% comes from rural areas. 50% of rural households in Africa have at least one who has migrated. Many are driven away from the land they used to cultivate food. International companies landran. FAO considers it important to fight hunger and poverty by investing in agricultural and district development in Africa. By giving local peasants the right to use their resources, one can turn this development *. The Norwegian Farmers' and Small Farmers' Association (NBS) is cooperating with our international organization, La Via Campesina (LVC), in order for the UN to adopt a declaration on Farmers' Rights in 2018.
